The past is gone, for the experience of life is always now. What is past is not real anymore; it is only a story that you tell and the conclusions that you make. Both have very little to do with reality. Yet they are real because you carry them with you. They become a chain around your ankle. Cut the chains of the past - they are illusory.

Il fat mat, the Bedouins say. "The past is dead."

The future is in the making; each present moment contains all possibilities. Wake up and live among the living by experiencing the present and whatever it may bring. This is the natural way of experiencing life.
