life is abundant The truth is that there is enough of everything on this planet for everybody and on every level - an unlimited abundance of food, water, energy, space, peace, and good health. In this way, life is perfect. Nothing is lacking. Nothing except understanding and cooperation. As human beings, we believe in scarcity, and in scarcity we live. We have been trained to believe that resources are limited. It is the concept of scarcity that has helped to create a culture based on competition instead of cooperation. Competition is one of the highest values in our society, and it is reflected in every aspect of our lives. We take pride in our competitiveness and yet competition yields aggression. Winning becomes all important, for that is the nature of competition. This leads to wars, atrocities, and pillaging. Greed has become our creed. If we recognize that scarcity is just a misconceived perception, we open ourselves to cooperation. Through cooperation, we can make use of our relative advantages, the advantages we have gained through creation and evolution. Cooperation is the true nature of life on this planet, for we are all connected and interdependent. |
