The Amazon is home to some 50 percent of all living species, the true home for the majority of life on the planet. Living in the Amazon is a privilege. The competition for life in the jungle yields creativity and cooperation. The Amazon is a place of abundance, not scarce resources, and the competition is resolved by each species finding its unique niche, its relative advantage, and constantly improving it. How inspiring is that? And so each species finds its niche and these species naturally cooperate with each other to create an ecosystem, in which all are connected and interdependent. And through this cooperation, each species has room to evolve.

Evolution is the mechanics of creation, like physics and mathematics. It offers the means for us to explain the phenomena that manifest through change, but it cannot explain the source of life. The world is created;
the world is evolving.
