The Cage Door Is Open We live in a cage. The cage is a perfect trap and yet its door is always open. We just don't realize it is open. We do our best to escape, but in trying to escape, we push the door further closed. The trap is perfect. If we would only stop pushing, if we would cease our attempts to escape, we would realize that the door was open all along. We lead our lives in perpetual struggle, perpetual effort. But what are we struggling against other than the natural state of the world? All else has been created by man. If we stopped struggling, we would see the world for what it is and escape the trap, the trap we create for ourselves through our struggle. The door to the cage is always open. |
