| Seasons Are Destructive |
|
seasons are destructive We are conditioned from the time that we are born to cling to that which is temporary, as all things are temporary. As we amass more of what we desire - money, power, fame - we feel more secure in clinging to it, believing we will always possess it. And when that false belief collides with reality, the sorrow of losing is greater than the joy of possessing. Thus you must remember this law of the jungle - life is about constant shift and change. How can we be called fortunate or happy if what makes us so fortunate or happy can be taken from us? We work so hard to protect ourselves from this, but it is futile. In the end, everything can be taken from us. When you are feeling most secure, ask yourself, "What if I lost it all?" Only when you accept that this could happen at any moment will you be free and able to truly find happiness. What you hold dearest can be taken from you at any time. The pain of losing is greater than the joy of having it all. If we accept that all can be lost, we let go of fear and allow joy into our lives. |
