| The Music Is Innate |
|
Tribal people in the jungles and deserts lived awe-inspired lives before we, the "civilized" ones, interfered with them and distorted their balance, bringing them our artificial laws to replace their natural laws. As if they needed our "civilized" laws and our "civilized" gods. They lived and thrived, they were playful and sincere and tuned in to the symphony of life. They tapped into the wisdom of the universe and read from its open source. They played their music, aware of the subtle instructions of the conductor. They had fewer inhibitions, and play and laughter were major components of their lives, as were singing and dancing. We appeared and called them primitive, savages, animals. We decided that these poor beastie creatures needed our help and guidance, that they needed to see the "light" of our god. We brought them disease, we brought them poverty, we disturbed their peace, and we raped their environments. Some saviors we are. We thought of them as animals. But many of the animals in the jungle are more enlightened than we are. What the animals all know, we have forgotten. Before we call ourselves human beings, we had better remember that we are animals first. Without this foundation, we cannot ascend to assume our role in the symphony. Learn the music from the beast within you and ascend. |
